Sophiyah You Are 5 Months Old!! July 4, 2012

I know I say this every month.....but I cannot believe you are another month older!! Please slow down baby girl!

Sleep: You are still a rockstar sleeper at night!! Momma is very thankful for that! You go down for the night around 10pm and sleep until around 6-7am. You are so cute when you sleep too. You prefer to sleep on your left side and sleep with your arms up around your face. So cute! You fall asleep with your binkie and still like a blanket covering your face. It makes me so nervous but if you are not totally knocked out and I try to move the blanket then you'll wake up. You will usually take one long nap in the afternoon and then cat naps throughout the day. I'm fine with that because you sleep so well at night.

Feed: You are on Similac Alimentum formula and doing pretty good on it. You are still eating 4oz every two hours during the day. I have tried to increase the ounces so you eat less frequently during the day but you will not have anything to do with that baby girl! We are trying to wait until you are 6 months old to start solids.

Weight: I am guessing you weigh around 14lbs. I keep meaning to weigh you on our home scale but let's just be honest....I don't want to step foot on that scale, even if it is to see how much you weigh.

Length: I have no idea how long you are but I do know that you are now wearing sleepers that are 9 month sizes. You are one long baby!

Diapers: You are wearing size 2 diapers. We have both Pampers and Huggies so you are wearing both.

Hair Color: Your hair is still reddish brown and its getting a little more curly. I keep praying that you're not going to be hair challenged like Janae (poor girl, I hope her hair kicks it into gear soon!).

Eye Color: You have the most beautiful eyes!! They are bluish-green and are a darker blue around the outside. So happy one of my babies got colored eyes like their momma!

Favorite Toy: You still without a doubt love your hands and fingers more than anything! You also like your playmat and love to make your bouncer bounce. You have also grown kinda fond of your bumbo.

This is her favorite thing to do in her bumbo!

I cannot wait to see what the next month holds baby girl! Mommy loves you to the moon and back xoxo

Happy Birthday America!!

Can I just say that our 4th of July was perfect this year!! The weather was absolutely beautiful....which is totally strange for Arizona in July!! We had a relaxing morning at home and then loaded up the car and went to Aunt Liz's house. The kids swam all day and had a blast with their cousins! It was so beautiful outside that I was able to sit by the pool all day with Sophiyah! She's usually stuck inside because it's so sweltering hot outside!! Maliyah was even brave enough to swim all over the pool and jump off the diving board!! Quite an accomplishment! She had arm floaties on but her confidence was SOOO much better and she knew she could do it! Just a few short weeks ago she wouldn't even leave the step with her floaties on! We BBQ'd for dinner and ate outside enjoying the beautiful day then got the kids dressed for fireworks. We went to Fire In The Sky at our church and it was a fun time had by all!

My Heart Exploded When I Saw This......

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I absolutely LOVE this photo....

I have been wanting a nice photo of all my children together. And some new ones of Sophiyah. So who else to call but my best photographer ever, Allison! She did an amazing job with these photos and I am absolutely in love with them all!!
